Welcome to a section of the practice that is meant to be a space for imperfect lines. A space that allows me to reflect on my ever evolving practice. I am no writer and English, like those who brought it to the South African shores, comes and goes with the tides. In addition my mother tongue, seTswana, is neither perfect due to the interference by the ship.

The assumption is that you have gone through my portfolio to give you a sense of my interests. It is hopefully evident in the work that my architectural practice deals with space beyond the prescription of SACAP. Which is a good thing because you get more than what you will be paying for. The buzz word here is that I run a multidisciplinary practice. I focus on the recollection, reimaging and rewriting of indigenous building technologies of Southern Africa through architecture, archiving and knowledge sharing.
My intentions with the space is to work through my practices to recollect, reimagine and rewrite these indigenous building technologies. The process of recollection happens through several collectives and practices. The most significant one is an archival collective called the archive of design and architecture. In this collective we collect the scant history of black architects in South Africa through the the idea that these histories have always been In Plain Sight and requiring us to bring them to the fore. In the practice I reimagine the technologies through architectural built forms together with private and public institutions. All of the knowledge collected here is disseminated through several mediums from text, art, video, audio and discussions.
